The last few tracks sound like “Pennsylvania”….my favorite song ever. Of course, it evolved quite a bit…but these are the bare bones…and so amazing. Best guess is Jeff and Glen.

This is a lot of the stuff Dave, Justin, and Jeff were messing with when I showed up….sometime in 97? My guess is this is Glenn on drums. There are reel to reels of “Mendocino” and “Down the Hill”….among others (I am sure) somewhere…recorded later. I know he eventually called the instrumental “Appendix”.

I absolutely love track 5. I can’t believe this was 24 years ago. Dave’s guitar on this track was so clean and driving. Seemed to be in such control of the tune and it’s direction.

Landfill Toboggan is a fun ride with Dave’s skill. I just put on my headphones, closed my eyes and let his driving guitar strumming take me away. Somehow he was still able to make congruency between your Kalimba and his brilliance, really enjoy this one.

This is me on drums. Dave and Justin…we were coming up with new stuff…just jamming on the boombox. In Dorchester at the box factory. 2000 or 2001. There should be mixed reel to reels from this period and the year before…stuff with Dave, Justin, Jeff and me too. From 97 to 2000.

I believe Dave picked up his first guitar at 15 around there. 1985 he had been playing 3 years, I love the All Along the Watch Tower, it’s raw and unpolished but you can hear the talent in the solos. You’ve done a good job so far with this site Kyle. Some days for no reason I will just have tears roll down my face when I think of him. Keep ripping Dave or otherwise R.I.P. We miss you.
